introduction to the sounds and structures of Spanish.
Learn basic expressions and conversational material.
Cover a wide range of vocabulary - body parts, clothing, foods,
colors, numbers, family, adjectives, weather, time and more. |

A reinforcement
of Beginner 1 material and a continuation with additional
introductory vocabulary and structures. We begin our
study of the vert system, building conversation skills with
lots of practice of regular present tense verbs. A

introduction to the preterite past tense. Regular and irregular
forms are stressed in a variety of contexts. We also
address reflexive verbs, indirect and direct object pronouns.
Lots of conversation, vocabulary, and interactive exercises.

Continued work on the preterite and introduction
to the imperfect tense, concentrating on the separate and
combined application of both. Reinforcement of conversation
and application of general intermediate level skills, including
usage of adverbs and conjunctions.

introduction to the present perfect and pluperfect tenses. Work
on the past participle as adjective and in the form of
the passive vocier. Assumes knowledge of other
past tenses. Focuses on achieving fuller self-expression
through varied use of tenses, sentence sturcture, and
vocabulary. |

An introduction to the future and conditional
tenses, and, if appropriate with the group, a peek at the
subjunctive mode. Reinforcement and aplicaion of all the basic
tenses.Vocabulary building and sophisticated, careful self-expression
are stressed. |
