Oaxaca Immersion

Nothing works better to learn a language, than sustained practice. This is the objective of our SEMANA en español™ Oaxaca Immersion Program.

Study the language and culture by living with us, in residence in a beautiful private home. We offer a thoroughly integrated program of classes, experiential learning, and cultural exploration for small groups of students. Visit famous sites such as Monte Alban and Santo Domingo. Live the language!

Your course of study will cover vocabulary, verb tenses, and grammar issues sequenced and organized to match your level of Spanish, always with emphasis on oral communication skills and contextual learning. Practice your Spanish as we visit artesanos in their villages while they share the secrets of their crafts.

We are known for our innovative and imaginative techniques and materials . You will get a chance to dye wool with master weavers, make mole from scratch with local famous cooks, and spend the day researching in the most important museums. We will do all of these activities and more, and all in Spanish !!!

We'll do all our interactions in Spanish, and we'll have lessons or assignments on-site in the markets, stores, museums, workshops, and other local activities. You will learn by doing and talking.

Special expert guest presenters provide unique learning opportunities. Immersion in the language works, because you use all your senses, your mind and your body, all the time. Try it soon with us! It's easier than you think!
